Q: I am not sure you realize that this item no longer is covered under the warranty when it is sold. No Canon warranties are tranferable. I discovered this when I was going to purchase the 1ds Mark III used. I called Canon and they confirmed this fact. May-08-08
A: The warranty would be valid only to the original owner only. I did not know for sure so I marketed this item without a warranty; just answered the question of imported or USA. I actually copied that info off of my original sales receipt when determining that it was indeed purchased originally with a USA warranty and not imported.
