Fruit Smoothies


  • Bannanas
  • Strawberries (Frozen provides no juices)
  • Oranges
  • Mandarins
  • Yogurt: vanilla
  • Ice Cream: vanilla and chocolate
  • 12 frozen strawberries, just as much (1.5 cups?) fruit cocktail from a can, just as much vanilla yogurt, and 4 ice cubes == delicicous, smooth and leaves little on in the glass


  1. Place in juicy and soft fruits (oranges with some juice or milk with ice
  2. Put blender into ‘ice crush’ mode or lowest mode while interespersing delay
  3. Work in bannas, yogurt, and ice cream to smooth out
  4. Blend until consistent flowing consistency

Do Not Include

  • Seeded items: black berries, some mandarins | Perhaps OK with a sieve!
  • Blue Berries: kind of leave pits


  • Banana-Oat Smoothie
    • 1/4 cup rolled oats, 1/2 cup plain yogurt, 1 bannana, 1/2 cup milk, 2 tsp honey, 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup plain soy yogurt*
  • 1 banana
  • 4 fresh, large strawberries
  • 1/2 cup of orange juice
  • Food Fitness Note: You can save on fat grams by using fat-free soy yogurt...It might also be tasty with vanilla flavored

Per serving: 363 calories, 13 grams protein, 62 grams carbohydrates, 9 grams fat, 2 grams mono fat, 2.5 grams linoleic fat, 42 grams sugar, 7 grams fiber, 14% protein, 64% carbohydrates, 22% fat yogurt.
