Brian,

Thank you for your comments. I finally e-mailed Irfan who pointed out that I needed Ghostscript in order to merge pdf files. Once I downloaded and installed Ghostscript I was able to merge the files.

Thank yuo for your time and effort related to this problem.

If you can do it with jpgs, I'm not sure why it's not working with PDFs. I just tried a couple multipage PDF files on my desktop and they merged fine (albeit it took some time - please wait for the pop-up window to tell you the process is complete).

Other tips:
a) Rename the source files so they don't have odd characters, spaces or long filenames. Perhaps page1.pdf, page2.pdf, etc...
b) Try opening the PDF files and "print to pdf" again with CutePDF or something similar (http://www.cutepdf.com/) since maybe the PDF file itself is corrupt or in some odd format

1) Click the "Add Images" button to add in all of the PDF files you want to merge.
2) Select a "Save/Output Directory" to save your files
3) Select a filename to save the output as, default "image.pdf"

Brian,

I have win 7 64 bit, and Irfanview 4.28 with all the plug-ins downloaded and installed. I can make a pdf from various jpg files but when I try to make one from pdf's I get an error message saying, "Error can't load (path)".

This is a problem that I've always had with Irfanview.

What should I do?
